A Message fromOur Principal
Welcome back to the new PS159, the shining gem of District 19!
This year we start with a renewed determined dedication to making our school better than ever with exciting programs and changes from new school colors and uniforms, classroom and building upgrades, STEM science and coding programs, and a state-of-the-art gymnasium. But, what has not changed is our commitment to nurturing, supporting, and celebrating every student so they meet their academic potential with a challenging equitable curriculum and engaging hands-on activities.
As your principal, I am honored to be part of our academic initiatives that will continue providing our students with a nurturing and challenging learning environment based on high learning standards, equity, caring, and respect. The administrators, faculty, and staff work diligently every day to provide rigorous relevant curricula for our students in a nurturing learning environment. As such, we are working meticulously to ensure that the school is safe for our students, teachers, and staff.
I am proud of our students, staff, and families who have taken on and triumphed over our many recent challenges. Now, more than ever, the involvement of family and parents is critical to help us create life-long learners who will reach their academic potential and become global citizens. A strong school is one that collaboratively draws on the strength of all stakeholders and fosters a positive school climate that makes a difference in the lives of our students.
So, parents and families, I invite you to come and be part of our PS159 family. I promise, we'll make you feel right at home!
Sincerely,
Neffertiti Lee,
Principal
